i am finally BACK! x) [ part two. ]
Thursday, December 15, 2005, 12:47 AM
well, this is a continuation from the earlier post. if you damn bloody don't get wad i'm speaking in this entry, you have two choices. you either get your FAT ASS out of my blog now or you read the previous entry. i think the second option is definetly better right? lols. anyway, i don't know whether can i squeeze the remaining bangkok entry inside here lehs. if i can't manage to (which will most probably be) , i'll have to divide it again. meaning more time is needed to publish the rest of the entries. i'll be kinda busy since i'm working now, so the entries will take a longer time to be posted up. pls bear with me ar. thankiew! =))

day two:
the previous night at the hotel was a peaceful one. i was so tired that i immediately fell asleep
when my head hit the pillows. every night that i spent at the hotel was v peaceful. it feels good to be able to sleep immediately after one long day! lols. on the second day, we woked up at about 7.30 am and had FREE breakfast at the hotel! jealous eh? we had FREE breakfast every morning until the day we left bangkok! song bo! x) but the only bad thing is that the food that we have every morning is almost the same. so can you imagine having the same type of food for breakfast for five days? lols. anyway, out tour guide was late as usual. -.- he was supposed to arrived at 8.30 am, but he only came at 9 am. half an hr late leh!

anyway, here are some pics!

[ yawns. i looked fierce eh? probably bcoz i'm too bored. ]

we board the van that will drive us around for a free tour of the city. there was also other singaporeans on board. our first stop was a temple located in the midst of several shopping centres! it was certainly overwhelming to see a temple beside shops like gucci and prada. it's like seeing a temple beside heeren in orchard road. can u imagine that? lols. there's quite a lot of smoke and it can be pretty choking when u're there, but it's really beautiful there. the dancers moving to the beat of the music and the devotees praying for what they believe in. i seriously like that.

anyway, here are some pics that i took at the temple.

there was this basin of holy water for devotees to wash thier hands or faces there. among all this people, i saw this young little boy who was really cute! he didn't noe wad was the holy water used for, so he started to splash himself with the holy water, thus making himself wet. then, he went to the praying altar to URINE. omfg! he urinated in front of the altar of the buddha? his parents immediately stopped him and forced him to kneel down, grabbing his hands and making a clasped sign so as to pay respect and apologise for what he haf done. they left soon after that. lols.

[ some random temple along the streets. ]

next up, we went to visit a gem stones factory. it's really a high class factory lor! it's not those random factories you see in s'pore! it's furnished like a hotel! once we step into the lobby, the waitress served us FREE drinks! after that, we were brought into a small theatre to view a short flim on gemstones before proceeding to a workshop that has workers manufacturing gemstones! i saw many tools i used during dnt dere. hahas. den, we were asked to enter an exhibition hall that has a lot of gemstones! we walked around but we didn't buy anything. the gemstones are quite cheap actually. about $20 only? lols. the sales assistant kept tagging along wherever we go and i was seriously irritated! =/ we proceeded to a honey manufacturing factory after that. they explained to us in detail everything about bees, flowers, honey etc. i learned quite a lot actually. the presenter told us that royal jelly is a very good product as it keeps our skin supple and smooth. it also enables you to live longer. but the price of that thing is so expensive lor! $90 for a small bottle leh! most importantly, it stinks! the presenter applied that thing on my hand and when i smelled it, i could faint! it smells like dead rat + men's sweat! freaking disgusting. so NEVER BUY ROYAL JELLY. it even made my skin itched and i had red patches on my skin aft it was applied! u expect me to spent $90 to apply some smelly stuff on my face or even go to the extent of eating it? to think my sister even put that smelly thing in her mouth! i will nv forget the look on her face. lols. we just bought a small bottle of honey though.

like wad i've said earlier, the only problem with the tour guide is that he's always late. other then that, he can be really nice! he told us a lot about bangkok and he cracked a lot of jokes during the entire tour. i remember one of the funniest joke was that: if a guy greets ppl in bangkok as sawadikap, a girl greets ppl as sawadika, den how would a 'not guy not girl' greet ppl in bangkok? SAWADI HAAA! lols. so funny eh? hees. as this city tour is FREE, the tour guide and the driver are not paid. so we had to gif tips. everyone gave dem tips except one singaporean couple. omg! so buay pai seh wan leh! thy even requsted the driver to drop dem off at an area that thy wan to go lor! and thy din gif tips? -.- anyway, the driver dropped us off at platinum, and our shopping trip begins from dere!

platinum is really big and my sis and i almost lost our way. but neverthless, we found lots of CHEAP STUFFS there! the earrings dere cost only about 20 cents and thier necklaces cost about 80 cents! SIAO BOR?! the things you see there are exactly what you see at far east plaza lor. i also bought a lot of other stuffs there, ranging from bags to shoes to clothes! pics of all this stuffs will be uploaded later! anyway, something unpleasant happened when i was at platinum! i entered this shop that sells accessories and the sales girl there actually DIAO me! knn. she purposely bumped into me somemore leh! so when she was staring at me, I DIAO HER BACK AND BANG INTO HER LA! i sound so ah lian, but i'm not one lor. -.- she probably thinks that i'm thai la! a lot of thais told me that i look like a thai! then thy greeted and talked to me in thai. as for my lucky sister, everyone tot tt she's a japanese and u noe wad thy called her? KAWAII NEHHHH! =/ after some intensive shopping, it was soon nightfall and off we went to the newly opened platinum shopping center to haf our dinner! i had FRIED NOODLES while my sis had
FRIED RICE. then, we went to our next stop, patpong!

patpong was seriously an eye opener. the streets are so freaking packed with people lor! be it inside or outside, you can see ppl everywhere! the ppl there can be classified as DANGEROUS. why? read on and you will noe. patpong is something like the GEYLANG OF SPORE. i know it's dangerous for two girls to visit such a place but my sis wanted to visit one of the shops there as they r having a storewide sale. so we had to brave a lot of dangers just to get to that shop! on the way, you can see hookers on the streets calling out to men. you can also see men asking tourists to enter thier pubs to see some sort of transexual performance. during the entire walk to the shop, i followed my sis closely and you noe wad happened on the way? one guy grabbed my sis's arms! being pretty fierce, i kinda hollered at him? and i tink he was kinda freaked out. lols. my sis told me not to worry as they are very friendly and warm de. -.- but i was tinking, aren't thy a little too warm? anyway, i passed by one of the many pubs located in patpong and i glance inside. guess what i saw? I SAW GIRLS DANCING ON A STAGE WITH WHITE BRAS, UNDERWEARS AND STOCKINGS! thy wear stocking and dance one eh? a bit low class to me leh. -.-

anyway, we went back to the hotel to rest after that and that's the end of day two! x)

- stay tuned for more! -
